Filled with ethically sourced down from the US and Canada, Quince offers an affordable alternative to high-end luxury brands like Matouk and Sferra, where comparable pillows cost well over $200.
Customizable firmness levels and great for stacking. Like Brooklinen, Quince offers three firmness options: soft, medium, and firm, with fill weights scaling from 15 ounces for the soft to 24 ounces for the firm. As a stomach sleeper, I tested the soft version. While it isn't the most supportive on its own, it kept me comfortable all night. It has a plush, squishy feel that makes it ideal for stacking. It's softer than other pillows we tried. Unfortunately, side sleepers will have to skip this pillow, since it offers little support and is pretty soft. However, for anyone who wants to feel like they've just climbed into a hotel bed after a long day out sightseeing, the Continental Bedding provides a dreamy escape.

Comfort: I slept on each pillow for three consecutive nights. I also rotated the pillows through three family members (one back sleeper, one side sleeper, and one with mixed sleeping positions), who slept on each pillow for at least two nights and provided feedback.

What is down?
Down is the fluffy fiber from the underbelly of a duck or goose, located under the bird's feather layer. It's shaped in fluffy clusters. You'll usually find it in bedding and clothing because it's insulating, yet lightweight and breathable.
How long do down pillows last?
Down pillows should last between five and 10 years. You'll know it's time to replace your down pillow if it stays flat even after fluffing, or if it doesn't pop back into place after being folded in half.
Can you wash a down pillow?
It depends on the brand. While some down pillows are machine washable, many brands advise against machine washing. You might be better off spot cleaning your pillow instead.
If your care label says the pillow is safe to wash, you'll want to wash it on the delicate cycle with a gentle detergent. You can also dry-clean your pillow or leave it in the sun for a few hours to refresh it.

Can down cause allergies?
