T-Mobile is readying its network to handle the iPhone by Q4 2012, according to an interview the company's CTO gave to All Things D.
The iPhone runs on a different spectrum than T-Mobile's network, so unlocked devices can only access 2G speeds.
But T-Mobile is working to broaden its spectrum to include the iPhone.
The network should be ready for the iPhone by the end of the year.
Even though T-Mobile USA doesn't sell the iPhone directly, it has roughly 1 million subscribers using the unlocked device on the network.
