Senior reporter Shubhangi Goel has been named the recipient of Business Insider's inaugural Singapore Press Club Tech Journalism Award, in recognition of her outstanding investigative reporting on artificial intelligence and the technology industry.
The honor was presented at the Singapore Press Club Awards 2026, held at the Pan Pacific Singapore. In recognizing Goel's work, the judges praised her "investigative reporting that has held the tech industry accountable at scale." The judges highlighted:
- An investigation into the black market for AI training accounts prompted Meta to remove dozens of policy-violating groups.
- Reporting that explained how social media platforms quietly coached contractors to make AI chatbots less preachy, revealing the hidden human labor shaping AI behavior.
