Overview

Binance.US is an online cryptocurrency marketplace for trading, storing, and staking varying coins and tokens. Binance.US is an independent entity that licenses the Binance's brand and technology stack.

With a free Binance.US account, you can access over 150 cryptocurrencies, trading pairs, and up to 18.2 % in staking rewards. The platform caters to beginners, institutional-grade API traders, and everyone in between.

Like some of the best cryptocurrency exchanges, it is a secure investing platform with an accessible interface, low fees, and market access.

Binance.US offers only a live chat for customer support inquiries and requests.

Binance.US isn't available in Alaska, American Samoa, Hawaii, Maine, New York, the Northern Mariana Islands, Texas, the US Virgin Islands, and Vermont.

It doesn't offer margin trading or crypto futures.

Ways to Invest

Binance.US offers a range of digital currencies for retail and institutional crypto traders. Among these are recurring buys (an automated feature that lets you invest on a set schedule), stablecoins (virtual assets backed by US dollars), crypto trading pairs, OTC trading, and staking rewards.

Binance.US also offers crypto domains, which simplify transfers, requests, and more by replacing complex wallet addresses with a custom domain name. You'll have to pay a one-time charge of at least 10 USDT (aka Tether).

Binance.US Crypto Trading Pairs

Binance.US prides itself on offering a robust selection of over 150 crypto trading pairs. Trading pairs are two crypto assets that can be exchanged for one another. You can use these pairs to compare each asset's value and determine if trading one for the other makes sense.

For instance, Binance.US offers both the Ethereum/Bitcoin and Litecoin/Bitcoin trading pairs.

You can access crypto-to-crypto trading through the Binance.US Advanced Trading screen, available to all verified users. You must have a minimum order worth at least $10 to trade. Market and limit orders are also available under this screen.

Binance.US Staking

Binance.US offers staking of more than 20 cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, Polygon, Cosmos, Polkadot, and Cardano. All investors who have signed and completed the platform's Basic Verification requirement can access staking.

Staking essentially loans your crypto assets to help secure and validate the assets' proof-of-stake (PoS) network. In return, you may be able to generate rewards. How much you'll earn varies by currency you stake. Most Binance.US staking rewards are distributed weekly.

Binance.US offers cold storage staking through a third-party provider who will stake your assets on your behalf. Your assets and funds are also stored in an offline cold wallet. All Binance.US staking rewards are generated through blockchain validation before being passed onto you.

You can stake your assets on Binance.US by submitting a request. Once processed and approved, your assets will be staked to the validator's nodes, and you'll start earning rewards based on that asset's rate.

You can unstake your cryptocurrency at any time by submitting a request.

Binance.US Institutional Clients

The crypto exchange offers a variety of services for institutions. These offerings — which mainly apply to market makers, proprietary traders, algorithmic traders, hedge funds, family offices, and high-net-worth clients — include an OTC trading portal, institutional monthly staking rewards, and 24/7 customer support.

Institutional clients can also use a Websocket feed that provides real-time market data, and the exchange's trading API lets you take advantage of programmatic trading bots, according to Binance.US.

Fees

You can open a Binance.US account for free and buy, sell, and convert cryptocurrencies for as little as $1. There's free bitcoin trading on select pairs, and crypto deposits are free. Some fees may apply to USD deposits or withdrawals.

Binance.US calculates trading fees based on your 30-day trading volume, but you can receive a 5% discount on Advanced Trading (Spot Trading) fees when you pay with BNB. Crypto and stablecoin have 0% transaction fees.

Binance.US deducts a 25% to 35% service fee from any earned staking rewards, depending on the underlying asset.

Trustworthiness

Binance.US has a B+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. BBB ratings typically range from A+ to F and reflect the bureau's opinions of a company's customer complaint history, business practices, and licensing information. A B+ rating indicates that Binance.US offers strong customer support and trustworthiness.

Binance.US licenses the Binance brand and technology, but is a separate company with its own independent management team and boards from Binance.com.

In November 2023, ex Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao pleaded guilty to anti-money laundering violation charges after the SEC filed 13 charges against Binance.US parent company BAM Trading Services and Zhao on June 5, 2023. Zhao paid $4 billion in fines and stepped down as CEO.

Binance.US and Coinbase are both strong cryptocurrency trading platforms offering hundreds of cryptocurrencies, reward opportunities, and trading tools. However, the platforms differ regarding fees and advanced features.

Coinbase is the better option for investors interested in the platform's 500+ spot pairs, 0% maker fees, and access to margin trading. Coinbase also offers a larger selection of digital assets (240+ coins and tokens) and a wide range of account options, including IRAs and custodial accounts.

If you're looking for higher staking rewards, Binance.US is your best option. Staking is available to most Binance.US users and only takes a few clicks. Coinbase, on the other hand, has more limited staking rewards, and you must have an account in "good standing" to participate.
