An unmanned spaceship funded by Amazon's Jeff Bezos suffered a huge failure during a test flight, reports the Wall Street Journal.
The vehicle was on a flight from the Blue Origin West Texas spaceport last week but the trouble arrived when ground personnel lost contact with the vehicle. As such, they were unable to control it.
The specific cause of the problem remains a mystery, but investigators hope to find some answers in the wreckage.
This could be a big blow to Bezos, whose ambition is to develop a practical means of space tourism.
