Welcome! Chances are you're new to Instagram, so sign up here. We already have an account, so we'll just sign in.

Enter your login credentials.

This is your feed. It shows all the photos your friends take. Let's take a photo of our own! Tap the blue camera button in the middle.

Tap the blue camera button again to snap your photo.

Now it's time to tweak your photo. You can add filters from the bottom row. The top row is full of other effects like blurring and rotating.

Instagram lets you share photos on other social networks too. Check each one you'd like to post to. (You'll have to log into each one separately.)

We're going to share this photo on Twitter, so we have to log in.

Tap "upload" when you're ready.

Now back to the home screen. Tap the star to see popular photos trending on Instagram.

The heart button stores all your notifications. From the "Following" tab, you can see your friends' activity on Instagram.

The "You" tab stores notifications whenever someone likes or comments on your photo. It also tells you when a new person starts following you on Instagram.

The final tab stores all the photos you've uploaded to Instagram. You can view them as a grid or a list. (This is a bit different from the iOS version.)

From settings, you can find new friends to share photos with. You can search your contacts list, Facebook friends, or Twitter friends. You'll have to authorize the app to access each service.
