How to watch live TV on Hulu: Price, plans, features

Hulu + Live TV is a great way to access live TV channels and multiple popular streaming services under one bundle price. The flagship plan costs $90 a month and includes over 95 channels, as well as access to Disney Plus, Hulu's on-demand catalog, and the ESPN streaming service for no extra charge.

Instead of waiting until the next day to watch new episodes of "The Bachelor" or "9-1-1," Hulu + Live TV lets you stream shows as they air. This makes Hulu + Live TV a convenient alternative to cable and satellite packages that often cost more.

A recent price hike brought Hulu + Live TV's base plan up from $83 a month to $90 a month, and increased the ad-free bundle option from $96 a month to $100 a month. However, until 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET on November 5, 2025, Hulu + Live TV is offering a deal on its base plan with the ad-supported Disney bundle. Instead of $90 a month, eligible customers can get their first three months for $65 a month. After that point, subscribers will begin getting charged at the standard rate unless they cancel before the three months are up. Given the recent price hike, that's nearly 28% off the first few months of service.

Hulu + Live TV includes over 95 channels, along with Hulu's on-demand library and access to Disney Plus and ESPN Select. Adding live TV drives up the price significantly, but it's a rolling one-month contract that you're free to cancel at any time.

How much is Hulu + Live TV?

Hulu + Live TV starts at $90 a month. This plan includes ad-supported access to Hulu's entire streaming catalog, over 95 live channels, and full access to ad-supported Disney Plus and ESPN Select. If you want ad-free access to the Hulu and Disney Plus on-demand catalogs, you need to upgrade to Hulu (No Ads) + Live TV for $100 a month. There's also a bare-bones version called Live TV Only that costs $89 a month and doesn't include Hulu's on-demand streaming catalog or Disney Plus.

What channels come with Hulu + Live TV?

Hulu + Live TV offers more than 95 channels. The lineup features local networks in many markets, including ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC. 

Hulu also has live sports, news, and entertainment via major networks like ESPN, FX, CNN, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, Bravo, Paramount Network, History, Discovery, Food Network, and more. Though the service includes many of the most popular cable stations, there are two notable exceptions: Hulu + Live TV does not support AMC or NBA TV.

What features does Hulu + Live TV support?

All Hulu + Live TV users can access unlimited cloud DVR at no extra cost. With unlimited cloud DVR, you can record as many episodes of your favorite TV shows as you want. 

Each program you record will be available for on-demand playback for up to nine months after the recording date. Playback for recordings includes the option to fast-forward and rewind. 

Hulu + Live TV also includes support for streaming on two screens simultaneously. For an extra $10 a month, you can upgrade to Unlimited Screens, which allows you to watch as many simultaneous Hulu streams as you want, as long as the devices are connected to the WiFi network you've designated your "home network." 

With the Unlimited Screens upgrade, subscribers can also stream on up to three mobile devices on-the-go, or outside of the home WiFi network.

How do I sign up for Hulu + Live TV?

If you're not already subscribed to one of Hulu's on-demand plans, signing up for Hulu + Live TV is a simple process. Here's a rundown of how to sign up:

1. Visit the Hulu + Live TV website.

2. Click on the sign-up link and enter your info to make an account.

3. Provide a credit card number or use a PayPal account for payment.

4. After submitting payment, you'll be billed the regular monthly fee.

5. You can now access Hulu + Live TV through the Hulu app or website with your account.

If you're already an existing subscriber to one of Hulu's on-demand plans, upgrading to the Hulu + Live TV service is also simple:

1. Visit the Hulu website and log in to your account.

2. Hover over the account icon at the top right of the page.

3. Click on "Account" and select the "Manage Plan" option.

4. Choose the Hulu + Live TV plan of your choice.

Is there a Hulu + Live TV free trial?

New members can usually get a free three-day trial of the Hulu + Live TV base plan, although this is often not available when there's a deal. Once the free trial is over, your subscription will automatically renew for $90 a month unless you cancel. The more expensive ad-free on-demand plan does not currently come with a free trial. Can I get Hulu + Live TV with the Disney Plus and ESPN bundle?

Hulu + Live TV memberships include the Disney Plus bundle with on-demand Hulu, Disney Plus, and ESPN Select as part of a subscription. Subscribers will also be able to access ESPN Unlimited via the ESPN app by logging in with their MyDisney information. What devices can I stream Hulu + Live TV on?

Most smart TVs and media players support the Hulu app, so once you sign up online, you'll be able to stream instantly. You can also stream the service through the Hulu mobile app or the Hulu website.

Do I need an antenna to watch Hulu + Live TV?

Hulu + Live TV does not require an indoor TV antenna. You will not need any additional external equipment other than a supported streaming device like a smartphone or smart TV.

Can I watch live TV on multiple devices?

With the Unlimited Screens add-on ($10/month), you can watch most live TV stations on an unlimited number of devices at home and three on the go. However, premium channel add-ons are restricted to a total of five simultaneous streams, even with the Unlimited Screens add-on. 

Can I record live TV on Hulu?

Yes, Hulu + Live TV subscribers can use the service's Cloud DVR feature to record shows.
