Since launching at the end of 2019, Disney Plus has become one of the best streaming services you can get, especially for families. While the service originally launched with a free trial offer, that has since changed.
The platform offers access to a large selection of movies and TV shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and 20th Century Fox. In addition to many classic titles and recent releases, Disney Plus also features a growing lineup of original films and original series developed exclusively for the service. The streamer has also begun to incorporate select ESPN Plus and Hulu content.
Disney Plus is available on various streaming players, smart TVs, smartphones, and tablets. Members can also enjoy simultaneous streaming on up to four devices, support for up to seven profiles, and unlimited downloads. 4K playback with HDR video and Dolby Atmos audio are supported on select titles as well.
For those ready to subscribe, Disney Plus subscriptions start at $9.99 monthly for the ad-supported tier. Users can also opt to bundle with Hulu and ESPN Plus or Max. Is there a Disney Plus free trial?
Disney Plus originally offered a free seven-day trial for new subscribers, but this promotion is no longer an option. It's possible that Disney could decide to bring the free trial back at a later date, but it's been quite some time since Disney removed the option, so we don't recommend waiting around for a potential free trial if there's a show or movie you want to watch soon.
This triple-value bundle gets you ad-supported access to Disney Plus, Hulu, and HBO Max. That's much cheaper than the regular combined cost of all three services and provides you with a huge selection of programming to enjoy, including HBO Max's non-live offerings.
For now, new Disney Plus subscribers must sign up for at least one month of service in order to use the platform. While the ad-supported option starts at $9.99/month, the ad-free tier goes for $15.99 a month. The ad-free option is also the tier with an annual offer at $159.99 a year. If you no longer wish to continue the service beyond your first month, you can simply cancel your subscription by visiting the account details page under your profile icon. As long as you cancel before your next billing cycle, you won't be charged for an additional month.
Is there a free trial for Disney Plus bundles?
Like the regular Disney Plus subscription, the Disney Plus bundles do not currently include a free trial. Your paid subscription starts the first day you sign up.
The Disney Plus bundles start at $10.99 a month for the ad-supported Disney Plus and Hulu bundle. It's just $1 more than Disney Plus costs on its own, so if you're at all interested in Hulu, this is a great deal. Users can also subscribe to Disney Plus and Hulu bundles with ESPN Plus or Max. The ad-supported versions of these bundles start at $16.99/month, but you can also upgrade to ad-free (although ESPN Plus will always be ad-supported due to the live nature of most of its programming).
Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus are included with Hulu + Live TV, Disney and Hulu's live TV streaming package that functions as a cable alternative. The ad-supported tier, which costs $82.99/month, sometimes offers a three-day free trial, so this is one way to technically access ad-supported Disney Plus for free. However, this free trial only lasts three days when available, so you'd need to cancel pretty quickly to avoid an $82.99 charge.
