After Broadcom closed its $69 billion acquisition of VMware on November 22, it also did some reorganization.
Broadcom CEO Hock Tan told employees in a recent email that VMware would operate with four divisions going forward: VMware Cloud Foundation, Tanzu cloud applications, Software-Defined Edge, and Application Networking and Security.
The Software-Defined Edge division is set to be led by Sanjay Uppal, a vice president and general manager. In an email viewed by Business Insider, Tan also named other top executives who are expected to report to Uppal and help lead the division.
Broadcom did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Broadcom laid off employees on Monday following the deal closing, BI previously reported. VMware already started cutting jobs prior to that.
